Re: So who is our next manager?
Ex-Manchester United captain Rio Ferdinand has lambasted David Moyes for his "amateurish" and "bizarre" methods during his ill-fated 10 month reign as United manager.

In his new autobiography #2 Sides, which is currently being serialised in The Sun, Ferdinand doesn't hold back in his criticisms of the ex-Everton and Preston North End manager, chastising the Scotsman for his training methods and the style of football he had the then Premier League champions playing.

“Moyes’s innovations mostly led to negativity and confusion.

“The biggest confusion was over how he wanted us to move the ball forward. Often he told us to play it long. Some players felt they kicked the ball long more than at any time in their career.

“Sometimes our main tactic was the long, high, diagonal cross. It was embarrassing. In one home game against Fulham we had 81 crosses! I was thinking, why are we doing this? Andy Carroll doesn’t play for us!

“The whole approach was alien. Other times Moyes wanted lots of passing. He’d say: 'Today I want us to have 600 passes in the game. Last week it was only 400’. Who cares? I’d rather score five goals from 10 passes.”

The worst part of Moyes' reign for Ferdinand came during the Red Devils Champion's League Quarter-Final second leg, away to Bayern Munich, when Moyes took his team to practice their set pieces in a public park. It was during this session that Moyes informed Ferdinand, now with QPR, that he wouldn't be starting against the German champions, the next night.

"It killed me. Inside I wanted to scream and grab him. I'm a team player, so I just had to bite my tongue and stand there. But it was probably the worst single moment I ever had at United.

"I'd never been dropped for a big game like that - and to drop that on me in front of everybody."

Maybe but he recently said he was grateful that Hull gave him the chance and support for new signings, so I can't see him leaving right now?

Re: So who is our next manager?
Klinsman would be decent.............. but his assistant needs to be able to step up in a few years. Get Klinsman on the board.

Allardyce will have a few good games in the spring, keep us up and will be offered a new deal.

Re: So who is our next manager?
Pulis is just made for Fulham so that may be his next destination.

Regarding the fat man, if we end up in the bottom three in the coming weeks still playing shit, I can't see how he can survive.

Re: So who is our next manager?
People were saying that he'd be snapped up quickly at the beginning of the season. Never happened, because he wanted some time off.

I reckon he's going to wait I tilt he end of this season. More time off to relax and a pre-season to get comfortable at a new club rather than doing a rescue job mid-season.

Darby

I can't see Moyes still being out of work next summer

Unless he gets a job soon and gets sacked again

Re: So who is our next manager?
Swiss is right. I doubt Allardyce will be sacked this season. Next season we'll have David MOYES, future West Ham legend.

Re: So who is our next manager?
I'd go for Bilic if it was my choice.

But suspect we're lumbered with Dudley the Dinosaur until season's end (unless we're a mathematical certainty for relegation before then). And not confident that it would be Bilic next.

Based on the owners' past performance with managerial selections, I'm not particularly optimistic with regards who is likely to replace Allardyce when that finally (and thankfully) happens

The Oaf won't get sacked even if we loose 6-0 to Hull tonight. Mark my words.

I'd like to think we have bigger ambitions than fat sam but Gold, Sullivan & Brady are ultimately responsible for the long term scenario

Can anyone hand on their heart see this clown managing us in the OS ?

Re: So who is our next manager?
Bilic turned us down before we appointed Avram and went to Everton when they offered him more money. Perhaps if he had Paolo as assistant?

I'd like Frank de Boer or Eddie Howe.
